Langdon and Atkinson (2005)

Specimens of Porites compressa and Montipora verucosa (capitata) were collected from the Coconut Island reef flat, Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology, Kaneohe, Hawaii, USA and exposed to ambient and elevated pCO2 treatments for 1.5 hours under optimal lighting conditions. pCO2 was adjusted by addition of concentrated HCl. Net carbon production was measured.

Specimens of Porites compressa and Montipora verucosa (capitata) were collected from the Coconut Island reef flat, Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology, Kaneohe, Hawaii, USA and exposed to ambient and elevated pCO2 treatments for 1.5 hours under optimal lighting nutrient loading conditions. pCO2 was adjusted by addition of concentrated HCl, nutrient loading was obtained by adding 0.03 mol of PO4 and 0.3 mol of NH4 for 4 hours. Net carbon production was measured.
